The id2 Program is an Olympic Development Program (ODP) approved by the United States Olympic Committee and the U.S. Soccer Federation.
The age group cycle for the id2 Program in 2025-26 will target boys and girls born in 2012 – the final year of single age group programming. This season’s (Aug. 1, 2025-July 31, 2026) id2 programming will include an id2 National Training Camp and an id2 National Selection Camp for the 2012 boys and girls age group. Players will be invited to the id2 National Training Camp based on local and regional scouting at events like Player Development Programs (PDP); events within the NPL, ECNL Regional League, ECNL and National Cup; targeted showcases; and more. The id2 National Training Camp will feature an exciting new format with players placed in teams based on their region to compete amongst and against each other.
New this year are the introduction of “ECNL Spotlight Games” to provide more opportunity for scouting and inclusion in the id2 Program to players at ECNL and ECNL Regional League U-14 events. Top 2012 players from participating teams will be invited to compete in the ECNL Spotlight Games, to be held on the second day of the event under the lights and live streamed. Players will be invited to play in the Spotlight Games by id2 scouts, who will be on-site to scout every U-14 player.

id2 Selection events are one-day programs that include scouted, tactical training sessions followed by 11v11 match play. Selected players then advance to id2 Regional Training Camps. This format allows for more events, additional scouting opportunities and ultimately offers more players a chance at these developmental experiences.
Additionally, a handful of organizations host Player Development Programs (PDP) to supplement talent for the id2 Selection events. Great Lakes Alliance, NorCal Premier, SOCAL, Twin Cities Soccer Leagues and Virginia Premier Soccer League all host PDPs in their respective regions. GLA, TCSL, Northern Illinois Soccer League and the Iowa-based Club Development League are also collaborating to create the annual NPL Midwest Select Games, which includes id2 scouting.
The next progression from id2 Selection events are id2 Regional Training Camps, which feature the top 36 boys and 36 girls performers from id2 Selections, as well as other identified players through scouting and recommendations from Directors of Coaching. US Club Soccer is hosting two id2 Regional Training Camps:
This pool is used to determine the id2 National Selection teams – 18 boys and 18 girls – that will travel abroad to play top academies April 2025. US Club Soccer will take teams to two European countries this year:
