Youth Competitive Leagues

OTHER YOUTH COMPETITIVE LEAGUES

Beyond the National Premier Leagues and ECNL, US Club Soccer sanctions leagues throughout the country for various age groups, competitive levels and geographic sizes and areas. Our league offerings allow for the ability to set up a league – and the rules and procedures of a league – in a way that is best for participating teams and players.

  • The following items are left to the discretion of the league/its participating teams:
    • League objectives
    • Roster rules/flexibility (up to a maximum of 26 players)
    • Game format flexibility
    • Scheduling
    • Administration procedures
    • Geographical flexibility as defined in sanctioning agreement, if applicable, and approved by US Club Soccer
    • Discipline matters (outside of U.S. Soccer’s 531-9 policy, which must be reported to US Club Soccer)
  • There are no state boundaries. Leagues may include clubs and teams from other states, and travel/other permissions are not requested.
  • Youth teams may consist of players up to the U-20 age group.
  • US Club Soccer liability and medical insurance covers all registered league administrators, member teams and participants.
  • There are no fees beyond player and staff registration. There is no league sanctioning fee.
  • Leagues and league clubs may sanction tournaments through US Club Soccer.
  • Playing brackets may be based on the teams’ competitive level (Ex. competitive vs. competitive, rec vs. rec).
  • Players and staff that are registered may use their passcards in other U.S. Soccer member events.
  • US Club Soccer staff registration is required of any non-player Direct Adult Participant (DAP) who has regular rontact with or authority over minor athletes in activities within US Club Soccer’s jurisdiction. For purposes of clarification, that includes regular contact with or authority over any US Club Soccer-registered minor athlete.
  • US Club Soccer administrators use an online ticketing platform to quickly and efficiently serve its members, including matters related to registration.
