Twenty-six teams win titles at 2025 National Cup Midwest Regional

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (June 23, 2025) – Twenty-six teams emerged as champions from a tournament field of 252 teams representing 89 clubs and spanning 11 states at the 2025 National Cup Midwest Regional, June 14-17 at Waukegan Sports Park and Libertyville Township Sports Complex in suburban Chicago. The tournament featured U-13 through U-19 boys and girls teams competing among Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group divisions.

These champions have now earned qualification to the 2025 National Cup Finals, to be held July 17-24 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado. Of the 27 triumphant teams, 21 clubs were represented. St. Louis Scott Gallagher IL led the way with four titles (U-15 Boys Super Group, U-17 Boys Super Group, U-17 Girls Premier Group and U-19 Boys Super Group). FC Wisconsin collected two championships on the girls side: U-13 Super Group and U-16 Super Group.

For St. Louis Scott Gallagher, it was a return to glory at the U-19 Boys Super Group after winning that division at last summer’s Midwest Regional. North Oaks SC Blast earned a rare three-peat at the Midwest Regional, winning the U-17 Girls Super Group again. And Central Illinois United went back-to-back in the U-14 Boys Super Group.

The National Cup Midwest Regional has proven to be a worthy training ground for National Cup Finals success. Last year, four Finals champions qualified from the Midwest Regional, including Central Illinois United.
