2025 National Cup Southeast Regional winners clinch qualification to Finals
BERMUDA RUN, N.C. (June 24, 2025) – The 2025 National Cup Southeast Regional concluded Tuesday afternoon at Truist Sports Park in Bermuda Run, N.C. with 15 teams qualifying to next month’s National Cup Finals in Denver, Colorado.
A total of 102 teams from 52 clubs and 12 states along the East Coast participated in the tournament among U-13 through U-19 boys and girls age groups. Teams battled heat and humidity, as the heat wave currently blanketing the East Coast and Midwest challenged participants.
Wake FC was the only club to win more than Southeast Regional division, clinching the U-15 Boys Super Group and the U-17 Boys Super Group. For the older Wake FC champions, it was back-to-back titles after winning the U-16 Boys Super Group last year. Other standout performances included the U-14 Girls Premier Group, which featured three undefeated teams through the group stage. The top two teams based on tiebreakers – Concorde Fire and NASA Tophat – advanced to the final, in which Concorde Fire edged NASA Tophat, 2-0. In the U-19 boys bracket, Space Coast United returned to glory, winning this year’s group after also winning last year’s U-19 Boys Premier Group.
The Southeast Regional has proven to be a worthy qualifying competition to the National Cup Finals. Last year, three teams won Finals championships after qualifying from the Southeast Regional.
